First Day of school for little man!!

Just some miscellanous pics of the last two weeks...The first are of Shane and his new Jeep, whom I call Missy...it's short for Mistress...lol...He takes his Mistress out and shows her off, he buys new clothes for his mistress, people honk and wave at his mistress...lol..he HATES that, but oh well....The rest are more pics of the kids playing at the aquarium...

Madison's Birthday Party

Went to Moody Gardens this past Sunday to share the 1 year birthday of our nail tech's daughter..yes, my nail guy and his wife (who used to do my nails did she got pregnant...lol)..they are just a few pics of the kiddos playing during the party..

Crazy Life !!!

Let me tell you about my last 10 minutes...lol..Decided to cut the back yard for two reasons..I ate pizza today so I wanted to burn it off and since my hubby has to go mow the grass at his dad's every weekend, it takes so much time...so I mow the grass.. and here is where it gets good... get all the way done except for one little 1 foot wide by 10' strip and run outta gas...go out gate to gas can from garage come back and latch didn't latch on the gate and it's a swinging..do i worry about dog bolting? Nope, she's in teh back with the kids...or is she ? See dog running across teh street at neighbors house, call dog..dog comes running, then changes mind and takes off down street..latch gate, run to back yard to get kids.. Austin is in the pool with my TRUCK KEYS (battery operated key fob and all), grab keys and kids, run inside, strip them of bathing suits to jump into car to find dog..tell Keira, run to room and throw on some clothes.. CRASH !!! Slips on tile and starts screaming !!! I ask her is she's okay, yes, I am fine and then Austin starts screaming and crying bcuz Keira is hurt...OMG !!! Walk to Austin's room to throw clothes on him... NO DIAPERS !!!! OMG !!! Go back in kitchen to grab diapers and decide to open door to see if I can call the dog..guess who's sitting at the door?? And what was your last 10 minutes??

4th of July

Once again it was very busy (yet fun) 4th of July..Started at PaPa's house (Shane's grandfather) for the annual parade and some goooooooddd lunch...We were joined again this year by Dean and Dottie (Shane's great-uncle and aunt)..it ended kinda scaryily though...Dean was walking his dog Duffy outside and took the kids out in the yard to play and Austin found a hornet nest in the ground...Yup he got it...the screech that boy let loose was enough to make me fly off the porch and run (or fly) to him...As we were running inside I noticed he still had stingers in him, so I started pulling them out..NOT knowing that hornets don't loose their stingers unless they are yanked out..so that means he got a few of those suckers too... (lol)..while sitting in the kitchen trying to figure out exactly what got him, I notice something in his hand..YUP it was a hornet..he managed to hold onto one...I slapped it out and it went for Shane's face (mean little suckers)..MeeMaw managed to make a miracle paste (at least I thought so) that eased the sting and drew out the poison..Baking soda and water..didn't know about it, boy did it work !!! By that afternoon all swelling was gone and all he had was some holes...All in all he got stung 6 times on his legs between shoes and shorts and they left HOLES in him, but he didn't notice after about 20  minutes and he was ready to go BACK OUTSIDE..NOPE..Momma squashed that one !!! lol...

We went home for naps and then onto our 4th of July firework watching at Galveston..Grandpa was finally able to join us for the first time this year since he is retired...We stopped at Rainforest Cafe for dinner, got in a little fender bender, headed to sea wall and noticed that it was already closed to traffic..why? they were having a parade !!! It was awesome !!! So we got a parade and then the fireworks...it was a long drive, but a beautiful night and NO WAY would I trade it for a bug infested, packed firework display downtown....

Yesterday was a blast..the kids had soooo much fun...There are lots of stories to tell (later, right now i need to find my house)..but I know that there are some people who are gonna be getting on the computer and looking for pics so here ya go...thanks to everyone who came !!

We have a shoe TIER.. That may not make sense, but Keira can tie her shoes all by herself now and is soooo proud!!! Shes been working on it, and yesterday came home from school and told me she did it... Then tied three classmate's shoes for them.. Lol!!! Told her we would take her to get some new shoes this weekend.. And she responded.. "Like Sketchers?".. Great, brand oriented already... Wonder who she gets that from??

It was lots of fun and so sweet of Toug and Lindsay to have us over, especially with a new baby themselves and little JD and house guests…It was also nice of Toug to unplug the battery on the truck every once in a while so the adults didn’t have to make so many laps…lol…

It’s a Big Ole Family Breakfast

PaPa wasn’t able to make it to the crawfish boil scheduled later on Saturday so we decided to brave the crowds and hit Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Wasn’t too bad bcuz we got there so early. The kids loved the checkers board outside and the rocking chairs…

PaPa and all THREE great Grand kids !!! This is GREAT !!

Beau Comes For A Visit

He did bring his mommy and daddy too…lol…I know, I know I am little behind and backwards here, but hey give me a break…Shannon and Kellie came in from Pensacola to bring Beau to meet Great Grandpa Joe and MeeMaw and Pee Paw…they stayed at Toug and Lindsay’s house which was right around the corner from us. Friday night was our night feed the “gang” (we decided that 11 adults, 2 infants, 2 – 2 year olds and Keira would NOT be good in a restaurant) so I set up a big ole fajita buffet..I went for easy…It was great…the adults ate, the kids played and then the mommies hid in our room…Two were feeding and I was lending emotional support (which means I was hiding from the kids too)

Easter

I was gonna try and post all the pictures from this past Sunday and Easter at our house, but there are just too many..We had lots of fun..after the bunny came to visit and left a huge mess in our kitchen, the kids woke up and found all their goodies...It's amazing what excites them and what doesn't...lol...The things we thought would excite them didn't and the things that we thought were just fillers, were hits...Around lunch time we were invaded, by LOTS of family...lol...We had everyone over for some really good barbecue and goodies and good times...the kids were spoiled rotten (imagine that), but they had really good time...Austin was a little moody, but he is still a little under the weather....Keira didnt' slow down..in fact Grandpa even said he didn't get good pics of her bcuz she didn't stop running...lol...the skirts and bows I made for the girls turned out great..they looked so cute and Keira's "Rapunzel with bunny ears" even turned out good...Of course Tammy had to show me up her Hello Kitty shirt, but oh well there is always another holiday..ha ha ha...It was a great day..
