Abby's Birthday Party

This past weekend was Abby's 5th birthday party ! I can't believe these girls are 5 already..Tammy (with some help from Terry and Diane, don't let her fool you..lol) did a beautiful job decorating..(don't tell her
I was jealous)..It was a very fun party..Abby got a lot of really cool presents, the food was great (just look at the kids chowing down), they had a blast jumping on the trampoline, and then there was the water ballon fight...What started out as fun for the kiddos turned into WAR for the adults...ha ha ha..Let's just say that two of us (yes I admit to being one of them) was RINGING out their clothing..It was good and I will admit that Tammy did win..she got me and got me good..ha ha ha..it was great..I took so many pictures that I didn't want to post them all on here so I am attaching the link to them online..enjoy and

Bouncin' Bears

We met "Aunt Beki" at Bouncin' Bears with some of her play group...the kids had an absolute BLAST and Austin got more used to be in "crowd" situations and still listening to mom..the videos aren't the best bcuz they were taken with my phone...(thank Aunt Beki for inviting us AND helping keep an eye on kiddos..I am still trying to get used to watching TWO that run all over the place..soo glad Keira and Reagan are so tight)

In this one he HAD to follow Keira (notice she is behind him? I think it was more of If she can do it I can do it mentality)..Another mom helped him to the top and she tried to get him to wait for her to help him slide down...lol

5 Year Check Up`

Keira went to the doc today for her check up..after telling me that she was okay and wasn't sick and it was still okay to take her to the doc..lol...She is also happy and healthy as a horse..vision and hearing checked out just fine..Doc was very happy with all her "milestones"

She weighs 47.9 lbs and is 3' 9" tall !!!! OMG !!! lol...guess I better start "couponing" for clothes for these two ...

18 Month Check- Up

Took Austin to the doc this morning for his 18 month check up..and everything went great...she's very pleased with how he looks and even admitted that the allergist had him on too many meds...When i told him it was 8 meds she asked if we had seen the one that she refreded us to and i said yes..she said that was WAY too many meds..(ya think)...anyway...he's happy and healthy and Keira didn't have to leave the room (no shots)..

 He weighs 27.6 lbs and is 34 1/2 inches tall and his head circumfrence is 55 cm (I think, I kinda forgot)..oh well...he's happy and healthy, who really cares about the rest ...Keira goes tomorrow so i will let you know what they say

I wake into Keira's room and find Austin sitting on the floor looking through her vacation photo album saying "daddy, daddy"... Now he's flipping through and naming all the people

Every week Grandma takes Keira to story time at the mall and then reads to her.. She loves it and looks forward to it every week

4th of July - Galveston

After getting the kids home from the parade and down for a nap we headed to Galveston for the fireworks..woo hoo..it's about an 1 1/2 drive and worth every minute..I know I know you think it's crazy, but you sit right on the sea wall overlooking the Gulf..the breeze is blowing in and it's absolutely gorgeous and relaxing...The kids did great !! We were sooo proud of Austin..we had our little area set up and he never tried to run or leave the area..he would take one or two steps a little too far and would stop and come back when asked..it was amazing..the only time he ran off was at the very end..The finale was on the final bit and he was jumping up and down and clapping and started kinda running...lol...It was awesome..The traffic was a little rough getting out, but Shane knows Galveston sooo well we jumped around most of the main streets and missed a lot of the traffic..got home after 12:30, hit the garage door opener and our dog was in teh garage...still can't figure out how she got in teh garage..we found where she dug out, but I don't think even she can hit two garage door opening buttons...hmmmmm

4th of July - Parade

I hope everyone had a happy 4th of July..ours was pretty eventful (as always)..it started out with the annual parade at PaPa's house...the kids love it (I think the adults even enjoy it ..lol) and then some good Texas barbecue...this year we were joined by Granny's brother Dean, his wife Dolly and their little doggy Duffy...There were a lot of pics (and I am sure I posted too many..I know I know use the scrolling album feature...nnnaaaaahhhhhh...If I had to sort 'em you have to look at 'em)

What? New Floors Again?

Not really and yes...you all know the kitchen floors have been steadly breaking and cracking for a while now..last count was 20 tiles..well they were starting to flake off and i didn't want kiddos getting slivers so Shane decided to replace them..and since one project a weekend isn't good enough, he decided to do TWO..why not tear up the front entry way and replace that tile too..that was always a project on the list and we actually bought the matching tile for it when we bought the stuff for the kitchen..

Soooooo, how easy do you think that weekend was?? NOT...he didn't start laying tile til 8 o'clock on Saturday bcuz he was having a hell'uva time busting out the old..the fun part ? Every time he bust out a broken on in the kitchen another one would break..we had a problem with the mastic (we think) and the entire floor is kinda floating..you can lift one tile and the rest around it lift up too...he ended up replacing 30 that night and after grout we have three more broken...not a good subject around here

Poor dog suffered the whole day
