Texas Children's
Shane and I decided that since Texas Children's had a walk in policy, I would just head down there this morning when he woke up... He was up at 6ish, breakfast and out the door around 7ish.. I got a little twisted in the med center, I am so used to going to St. Lukes, that that's where my car headed.. Ha ha ha.. Oh well, back door into TC.. Uhm, no.. We ended up going the critical care center, which is one of the 4 buildings for TC, just not the one we needed.. Oh well, Austin my boy, we are on an adventure (by this time the Starbucks had kicked in.. Hahahaha) I told him we would head to the information desk... Closed..Hee hee.. When in doubt, find the elevators.. We finally made it to where we were supposed to be, filled out the paperwork, out the doors to another set of elevators, down to the basement.. Pathologist was GREAT!! Talked to him, got a vein in the first stick, he was a little concerned he we was gonna have to go in again, bcuz he knocked it a little loose while wiggling.. He worked really hard to get the last vial and a half so he didn't have to stick him again and it worked.. There was LOTS of screaming and crying, but I really think that is bcuz I had to hold him down on the table.. When he was done, I picked him and he stopped crying.. Of course I couldn't put him back down in the stroller (wow that was a long walk back to the truck.. Ha ha ha), but all seems well.. So now we wait for the results and our next appts... He did really, really good though!!
